I. Definitions
- Specialist: Erica Gasparini, operating as Purrs and Tails, located in Amsterdam.
- Client: The owner of the cat or dog who engages the services of The Specialist for consultations, lessons, workshops, or courses.
II. General
- All agreements between The Specialist and the Client are governed by the following terms and conditions.
- The Specialist will execute the agreement to the best of their ability and in accordance with professional standards.
- The Specialist will provide guidance to the Client (minimum age 18) and their pet to the best of their ability.
- Confidential information entrusted to The Specialist will be respected at all times. Disclosures to third parties will only be made after consultation with the Client and when deemed beneficial to the interests of the Client, their pet, or the environment.
III. Advice, Therapies, and Training
- Clients may seek advice from the Specialist regarding their pet's behavior.
- Advice provided is based on the Specialist's extensive knowledge and experience.
- This advice does not result in liability for The Specialist. The Client remains responsible for their pet's actions, in accordance with applicable laws.
- The Specialist may provide an assessment or prognosis regarding the potential improvement of the pet's behavior. However, no guarantees can be given regarding the outcome of therapy, advice, or training.
- The Client's obligation to pay remains, even if the desired results are not achieved.
- The Specialist reserves the right to refuse service if the Client does not cooperate with the proposed therapy.
- Consultations, lessons, and the use of training materials are at the Client's own risk. The Specialist is not liable for injury, loss, or theft.
IV. Payments and Appointments
- Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled by the Client up to 24 hours in advance. Cancellations or changes made later are only accepted in cases of force majeure and with mutual agreement.
- The Specialist reserves the right to charge the full fee for appointments not canceled or rescheduled in a timely manner.
- If the Specialist must cancel or reschedule due to illness or force majeure, they will ensure the appointment is rescheduled as soon as possible.
- Payment is due in cash after the consultation or first lesson, or by invoice within the specified payment term.
- If the Puppy / Kitty Course is terminated early, the Client will receive a refund of 75% of the remaining lessons' fee.
- Pets undergoing private training are expected to be vaccinated against communicable diseases and, in the case of dogs, not in heat during the week of the lesson. The Specialist is not liable for any mental or physical (alleged) illnesses the pet may contract during or as a result of the therapy or treatment.
- All reports, course materials, advice, guidelines, and recommendations provided by the Specialist are intended solely for use in behavioral therapy or lessons and may not be reproduced, published, or shared with third parties without prior written consent from the Specialist.
