Adopting a kitten is exciting, but it also comes with big responsibilities, and plenty of questions. How do you set up the space? What everyday things do you now need to pay attention to? Whatâs the best way to introduce them to your routine? How do you ensure they grow into a confident, happy adult cat?
The early weeks and months are crucial for setting them up to a good start and my Kitty Course is designed to help you and your kitten thrive together, laying the foundation for a lifelong bond. It isnât just about training; itâs about understanding your kittenâs unique needs and providing them with a safe, enriched environment.Â
The lessons are organised around a few different topics:
- Resources organisation, such as litter box type and position, placement of water and food bowls, indoor verticalization, and creating quiet places for your kitten to rest.â
- Socialisation and habituation, for example getting your kitten used to being handled, carried in the transport box, going in the car, and meeting strangers.â
- Play time! The rituals around playing, the different types of games and what they stimulate in your cat. Playing is a very important way of ensuring your cat is physically and mentally healthy.

Kittens are wonderfully curious and energetic, but they also require special care and attention to grow into well-adjusted adults. My approach to kitten coaching is rooted in understanding their unique needs and behaviours. The first step in raising a confident, happy cat is creating an environment that supports their natural instincts. Cats are territorial creatures, and a well-organised home - complete with proper litter box placement, vertical spaces, and cozy retreats - plays a huge role in their comfort and security. Through my guidance, youâll learn how to create a space that meets these needs and reduces the risk of future behavioural issues.
Socialisation is another key aspect of my approach. Kittens need positive experiences with people, handling, and new environments to feel at ease in their world. Weâll cover how to gently introduce your kitten to the transport box, car rides, and meeting new people, ensuring these situations are stress-free and even enjoyable for them.
Playtime is essential for both mental and physical development. My lessons will show you how to engage your kitten in games that stimulate their natural hunting instincts, build their confidence, and keep them healthy.
Ultimately, my approach is about more than just preventing problems - itâs about fostering a strong bond between you and your kitten. Iâll equip you with the skills to understand their behavior, communicate effectively, and provide the care they need to grow into a happy, confident companion.

Weâll begin with the basics of cat communication and their unique needs. Youâll learn how to organize resources like litter boxes, food and water bowls, and cozy resting spots. Weâll also discuss âcatifyingâ your home to make it a safe and stimulating space for your kitten.
Lesson 2 and 3
These lessons focus on playtime and essential socialization. Youâll discover the best games and activities to keep your kitten mentally and physically healthy. Weâll also cover skills like getting comfortable with the transport box, traveling in the car, and meeting new people.
Lesson 4
In the final lesson, weâll tailor the session to specific skills or challenges youâd like to address, such as brushing their teeth, trimming their nails, or even teaching fun tricks. After completing the course, you and your kitten will receive a diploma!
